Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. and Olongapo Solar Power Plant, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), led nearly 70 volunteers in planting 2,000 native tree seedlings—narra, molave, and dao—in Brgy. Sta. Rita, Olongapo City.

The seedlings are all native Philippine hardwood species, with narra and molave classified as threatened in the wild.

As they mature, these trees will provide shade, enrich soil, and create habitat for local wildlife while expanding the barangay’s green cover.

This story demonstrates how collaboration between the private sector, government agencies, and community volunteers can take meaningful environmental action.

It highlights a commitment to species conservation and long-term environmental stewardship.
