GNPD, GMEC Named Among Top Real Property Taxpayers in Bataan; Mitsumi, BOC Contributions Recognized
The Provincial Government of Bataan on Friday recognized GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) and GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) as among the top real property taxpayers in the province for calendar year 2024.
The awarding ceremony was one of the highlights of the 269th Bataan Foundation Day celebration held at the Bataan Tourism Pavilion in Balanga City.
Mitsumi Philippines, Inc. was meanwhile honored as the Top 1 Taxpayer based on its one-percent (1%) share from the five-percent (5%) gross income earned by FAB-registered enterprises for 2024. The company was represented by General Manager Mr. Yoshitaka Kitahara, together with members of its management team, including Mr. Jun R. Fevidal and Ms. Kriscel Joy L. Junio.
During the ceremony, GNPD received the Sinag ng Bataan–Alab Award after ranking as the Top 2 Real Property Taxpayer in the Industrial Business category, while GMEC placed Top 4 in the same category.
GNPD and GMEC are likewise major contributors to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Limay, Bataan, consistently ranking among the port’s top taxpayers and importers. Their coal importations account for a significant portion of the billions of pesos in taxes collected annually by the local BOC office.
Further highlighting its compliance and contribution, GNPD was also included among the nationwide top taxpayers recognized by the BOC Post Clearance Audit Group (PCAG) for 2023, citing its high level of regulatory compliance.
